To fully understand your proposed treatment, we educate our patients about the chronic conditions related to the lungs and immune system. Being that our team of doctors specialize in immunology, we educate and help develop a healthy routine so that patients can maintain a vibrant lifestyle.
Skin allergies, such as poison ivy is what comes to mind when others hear the word allergy. Individuals that experience issues with their nose, lungs, throat, sinuses or ears might be experiencing allergies too but may think it’s an annoying cold that won’t go away. Most people can relate to experiencing an allergic reaction but what is not common knowledge is that an allergy begins in the immune system. When it misinterprets a substance as a foreign organism, it produces antibodies that release histamine and other chemicals in the body that cause an allergic reaction.
Common Allergic Symptoms
Pollen, dust, mold
Insect stings, animal dander
This chronic disease affects individuals of all ages; babies to adults. Some are born with it; others experience it during physical activity, and some develop it by working in toxic conditions. Asthma affects the airways in the lungs, making it difficult to breathe because the airways are swollen, making the muscles around the airways tight. As a result, it is difficult for air to flow in and out of the lungs, demonstrated by a variety of symptoms.

Shortness of breath
All of our physicians are board certified immunologists, meaning they have been specifically educated and trained to diagnose and treat allergies, asthma, and immunologic disorders. Immunology is the study of the immune system and the ways the body protects itself from infections and diseases. An Immunologist can also be referred to as an allergist. Our doctors have earned a bachelor’s degree, a medical degree and have been proven to be experts in the field as evident by their board certifications.
